Day 6 – Tuesday 2 March 2010
Still going strong – feeling good today. Went to the Health Living Centre this morning and swam 60 lengths again. Got home and started chopping! It’s work tomorrow and the rest of the week so whilst Lily had a sleep I chopped my way through salad for tea – anything allowable that you could chop and add, I did. I prepared veggies for the next 2 nights as well so I’m prepared and not waiting too long for tea when I get in. Just as I was chopping my carrots my stomach lurched when I heard the Celebrity Slim music on the radio and on came Jo’s voice – I knew mine would be close behind arghhhh. It’s so surreal to hear yourself on the radio. All the boys from my hubby’s work cheered when they heard me this morning – can’t quite believe it. Then the texts started coming in from my friends who had heard me and emails. Then the big one – my brother text to say he’d read my blog on the website. What a day to remember. I have to say though it did spur me on! :0)
Day 7 – Wednesday
Not sure what happened this morning. I woke up BEFORE 6 and did 20 minutes yoga before getting ready for work and sorting the children out! After that I was buzzing all morning. I practically ran up 5 flights of stairs at work! Sean and Becky rang this morning to do my weekly interview – oh boy I was a bit hyper, really nervous and did a lot of giggling. Think I might sound a bit daft on air this week – oh well I might make someone smile! The eating is going good too although I am having a ‘hungry day’ today. Got home from work with a MASSIVE headache today and feel really tired now – so although it’s only 9 pm it’s goodnight from me for today.
Day 8 – Thursday
My headache was a bit easier this morning when I woke up but still lingering on. 20 minutes yoga before work made me feel much better though. I had just a normal kind of day today with nothing much to report. I’m still finding sticking to the plan okay – its all about being prepared and thinking ahead.
Day 9 – Friday
Woke up early for work this morning – feels strange not feeling so sluggish when I wake up. Started to do my usual 20 minutes yoga but was rudely interrupted half way through. It was the phone ringing. My mum telling me my interview was going to be on the radio straight after the 7 am news. Well, I’m afraid I had to cut my yoga short this morning so I could listen with anticipation to myself on the radio. Felt sick waiting for it to come on as I did nothing but giggle all the way through. Luckily it didn’t sound half as bad as I thought it would – the editing is obviously very good ;0). It’s just so funny and surreal. So many people are starting to ask “did I hear you on the radio?” Got to keep at it now!
Day 10 – Saturday
Woke up today and did 40 minutes yoga. Got a busy day ahead. Two kids parties. Decided to take bars with me for a snack and fitted in my shake between the two parties. Easy when you plan ahead. Hubby had his usual curry and I had my chicken tikka again with a big salad. Had no alcohol either. I’ve gone a whole ten days now with no carbs and feel so much better. It’s not been nearly as hard as I thought the first week would be.
Day 11 – Sunday
What a glorious day today. Did my yoga for 40 minutes again today – really getting into it now. My daughter may be climbing in and out of my legs and hanging off me but I will NOT be deterred! Decided to take the kids to the local country park this morning with some friends and walked a mile round the lake. Pushing the buggy through the mud was a workout in itself. Felt really good and sat for half an hour in the sunshine whilst they played. It was so good to be out in the fresh air and sunshine. Feel like I’m beginning to settle into the diet plan now and not so aware of thinking about food all the time. Hope I’ve lost something tomorrow. I certainly feel better and full of energy and haven’t cheated at all – honest!
Day 12 – Monday 8 March 2010 – THE FIRST WEIGH IN!!!!!
Hardly slept a wink all night – I’m sooooo nervous about the first weigh in today. Decided to go first thing as couldn’t get Lily into the Creche till 11 am. Felt a bit sick walking down to the pharmacy but I actually lost 2.7kg which is about 6lb in old terms. Whoop whoop – can’t believe it. I am really pleased. The hard work is starting to pay off. Couldn’t wait to text everyone when I got back to the car (after raiding the poor pharmacy for my next weeks’ supply – not much choice in flavours this week but had most of what I liked. I also picked up a new cookies and cream flavour shake which I had for my lunch and was quite nice too). The weigh in spurred me on and went to swim my 60 lengths at the gym. What a day. A fantastic end to a good week on Celebrity Slim – bring on the next 7. ;0)

Keep up the good work sounds like your full of motivation….and its paying off i’m sooooo impatient just wanna fast forward 6 weeks to see the final results.
